Active Early Grant
Active Early works with local child
care centers to improve fitness among
young children by teaching them to
stay active through organized movement
and free playtime. In 2011, Shining Stars
received a grant from Active Early to
participate in their pilot program. Initially,
we scored and 11.1/20 but a year later we scored 19.38/20!

We have received a Healthy Bites Nutrition Education Grant

NAEYC Accreditation
Shining Stars was NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) Accredited from 2005-2010. Shining Stars is again in the accreditation process.
